MODI LED Ceiling Light MD-FLD4872RF-Y 72W 500mm Round

This is a surface-mounted round ceiling light from MODI's MD-FLD48 series, rated 72W across a 500mm diameter body. It is the kind of fitting specified for a sitting room, a large bedroom, a reception area or an office bay where one central light source has to cover the whole room.

The housing is iron with a PVC diffuser, and the light is spread at 120 degrees so it washes the ceiling plane and the floor evenly rather than pooling directly beneath the fitting. Colour rendering is rated 80 or above, and the fitting carries 2KV surge protection, a sensible inclusion on supplies that see switching spikes. It runs on standard AC220-240V mains at 50 or 60Hz with a power factor above 0.5. Mounting hardware is chosen to suit the ceiling: expansion screws into a cement slab, or self-tapping screws into a wooden or boarded ceiling.
