MODI M1 20A Water Heater Switch with Neon Indicator

Every water heater needs a dedicated isolating switch, and the M1-028 is the 20A unit from MODI's M1 wall plate range. It gives electricians and homeowners a clean way to switch a geyser, immersion heater or other fixed heavy load from a standard wall position instead of relying on the consumer unit.

Internal parts are strictly selected copper, one-piece moulded for good flexibility and stronger conductivity, which is what keeps a 20A load from cooking the contacts over years of daily switching. The parts resist electrical corrosion and hold their shape rather than deforming with repeated use. The visible panel is high-quality PC material chosen because it is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, an appropriate property for a switch that sits on a high-current circuit. Wiring terminals are internal, which speeds up first fix and keeps the back box tidy.

Supplied in white, gold, grey and black so the plate can follow the rest of the M1 switches and sockets already specified in a room. Typical positions are bathroom lobbies, kitchen walls, laundry areas and outside shower rooms, in both new residential builds and rewiring work in flats, hotels and rental units.
