MODI Track Rail MD-TL09 1m and 2m Aluminium Lighting Track

The rail that MODI track spotlights mount onto, the MD-TL09 is an extruded aluminium and PC channel supplied in 1m and 2m lengths. Track lighting earns its place wherever the lighting layout has to change after installation, which is why it dominates retail interiors, galleries and showrooms: heads slide anywhere along the run and can be re-aimed without touching the wiring.

The extrusion is aluminium with a PC insert, chosen so the rail carries heat away from the fittings mounted on it rather than trapping it. Surfaces are finished with a high-temperature frosted baking varnish, which is what keeps the colour even along a long run and stops adjacent sections reading as slightly different shades under the lights they carry.

Two lengths and two finishes let a run be made up to a ceiling grid without cutting: 1m sections in black or white, and 2m sections in white. The 1m sections ship fifty to a carton and the 2m sections thirty, so a full shop-fit can be ordered in a single line.
