Pedrollo 4PDM 2 Submersible Borehole Motor 4 Inch

Pedrollo PD submersible motors are oil filled rewindable borehole motors designed to drive four and six inch submersible pump ends. The 4PDM 2 is the four inch single phase version, supplied ready to couple to a matching wet end for borehole and deep well duty.

Construction is largely AISI 316 stainless steel with a duplex shaft, which keeps the motor robust and long lasting in harsh water. It is filled with FDA approved colourless oil and runs on oil lubricated thrust and radial bearings, while a reinforced netted NBR diaphragm compensates internal pressure as the motor is lowered. Standard NEMA flanges allow pairing with the usual borehole pump ends, and a sacrificial anode is available on request where water is extremely aggressive or stray currents are present.

Boreholes serving homes, farms, schools and small water schemes are the common application, along with rewind and replacement work on installations already in service. Mounting may be vertical or horizontal provided the tilt angle limit for the range is observed.
