Pedrollo PKm60 Peripheral Impeller Booster Pump 0.5HP

The Pedrollo PKm range are peripheral impeller booster pumps used for water transfer and pressure boosting in domestic and small scale installations, and the PKm60 sits at the compact end of that family. A peripheral impeller develops a relatively high head from a small body, which suits supplies where pressure matters more than sheer volume.

Its body is cast iron, with a brass insert set into the front housing to improve starting behaviour and protect against jamming, and the impeller is brass. An anti-vibration arrangement between shaft and impeller keeps running noise down, and a special paint finish resists environmental corrosion. Drive comes from a close coupled TEFC brushless induction motor made for continuous operation, with a thermal relay in the windings guarding against electrical and mechanical overload.

Household and small commercial boosting, tank to tap supply, garden lines and light irrigation are the typical duties. The pump may be run manually or automatically, using either the Pedrollo Easysmall controller or a pressure tank and switch.
