Ear Plugs, Corded

Ear plugs stocked in two grades. The heavy duty plug comes supplied in a rigid plastic case, and the light duty plug comes in polythene packing. The packing is the practical difference between them: a plug that lives in a case survives a pocket, an overall and the bottom of a toolbox, while a plug in a polythene sleeve is closer to an issue-and-discard item.

They are handed out wherever machinery runs all day. Stone crushers and quarries, saw mills and joinery shops, generator and pump rooms, grinding and cutting bays, workshops and road plant. Safety officers buy the cased grade for permanent staff who keep their own kit, and the polythene-packed grade in bulk for casual labour, visitors and short contracts.

Two options to choose between, and the choice is really about who is wearing them and for how long. The supplier does not publish a noise reduction figure for either grade, so if you have a measured noise assessment to satisfy, confirm the rating you need before you order.
