Shipping policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This policy explains how AHIHQ Traders dispatches and delivers orders placed at ahihqtraders.com. It applies to both retail and trade orders.
Where we deliver
We deliver throughout Kenya — Nairobi and countrywide. Orders placed through this online store are for delivery within Kenya only.
Export and cross-border consignments to East Africa and beyond are handled outside the online store on a quotation basis. Contact us on WhatsApp at +254 724 505 919 with the product, quantity and destination and we will quote FOB or CIF as required.
Processing and dispatch times
Nairobi orders confirmed before 12:00 noon, Monday to Saturday, are dispatched the same day.
Orders confirmed after noon are dispatched the next working day.
Upcountry orders are dispatched within 48 hours of payment confirmation.
Orders placed on Sundays and public holidays are processed on the next working day.
Large, mixed or pallet-quantity orders may need an extra working day to pick and pack. If a line is out of stock we will contact you before dispatch to agree a substitute, a part-shipment or a refund.
Delivery times
Nairobi: same day or next working day, by our own vehicle or a contracted rider, depending on the size of the consignment.
Major towns (Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Thika, Nyeri and similar): typically 1–2 working days from dispatch.
Other parts of Kenya: typically 2–4 working days from dispatch, depending on the courier's schedule to that route.
These are estimates, not guarantees. Transit times depend on the carrier, road conditions, weather and peak-season volumes.
Delivery charges
Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight, volume and destination of your order, and are shown before you pay. Charges are quoted in Kenya Shillings and are VAT inclusive.
Carton, pallet and container quantities are quoted separately — contact us for a delivery rate before placing a bulk order. Trade customers may also arrange their own transporter and collect from our store.
How goods are sent
Nairobi: our own delivery vehicle, a contracted rider, or a courier, depending on size and weight.
Upcountry: established parcel courier and bus-courier services. You will receive the consignment or waybill number once the goods are booked.
Bulk and pallet loads: by contracted transporter, with the rate agreed before dispatch.
Aerosol PU foam and certain sealants and solvents are classified as dangerous goods for transport. These are sent by road only and cannot be carried by air. Some couriers restrict or refuse them — where that affects your route we will tell you before dispatch and arrange an alternative.
Collection from our store
You are welcome to collect your order from Royal Business Park, Old Mombasa Road, Nairobi, Monday to Saturday between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Please wait for our confirmation that the order is packed and ready before travelling, and bring your order number and ID.
Receiving your delivery
Please make sure someone is available at the delivery address during working hours to receive and sign for the goods.
Give a precise address, a landmark and a reachable phone number. Deliveries fail most often because the number given is off.
Count the cartons and check for damage before signing the delivery note or courier waybill.
Report any shortage, damage or incorrect item within 48 hours of delivery. See our Return and refund policy.
Failed and refused deliveries
If a delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, the address is incorrect or incomplete, or the consignment is refused without cause, the goods are returned to us or held at the courier's depot. A second delivery attempt is charged at the standard rate for that route. Storage or demurrage charges levied by a courier are passed on at cost.
Risk and title
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery, or on collection where you or your transporter collect from our store. Ownership passes once payment has been received in full.
Delays outside our control
We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including courier or transporter delays, road closures, weather, strikes, fuel shortages, civil unrest or action by any government authority. Where such a delay occurs we will keep you informed and, if the goods cannot be delivered within a reasonable time, offer you a refund.
