These Terms of Service govern your use of ahihqtraders.com and any purchase you make from AHIHQ Traders ("we", "us", "our"). By browsing this website or placing an order you accept these terms. Please read them before you order.

1. Who we are
AHIHQ Traders is a Kenyan distributor of construction chemicals, sealants, adhesives, PU foams, solar lighting, tools and general building supplies, trading from Royal Business Park, Old Mombasa Road, Nairobi. We supply both trade accounts and retail customers.

2. Using this website
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to place an order. You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose, not to interfere with its operation or security, and not to copy, scrape or republish its content without our written permission.
If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your authority.

3. Products, descriptions and images
We describe our products as accurately as we can. Product images are for identification and are indicative only — packaging, labelling, cap and nozzle design and carton artwork change from batch to batch as manufacturers update them, and colours may appear differently on your screen.
Technical data sheets, safety data sheets, coverage figures, cure times and performance claims originate from the manufacturer. We pass them on in good faith but do not independently verify them.

4. Technical advice and product suitability
Any technical guidance we offer — in person, on WhatsApp, by email or on this website — is given in good faith as general information. It is not a professional specification.
You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a product is suitable for your particular substrate, joint design, application method and site conditions. We strongly recommend a trial application before committing to a full job, and that you read the manufacturer's technical data sheet and safety data sheet in full. We can supply both on request for any product we stock.
We accept no liability for workmanship, surface preparation, application technique, curing conditions or any result arising from the use of a product, beyond the replacement or refund obligations set out in our Return and refund policy and our obligations under Kenyan law.

5. Pricing

All prices are in Kenya Shillings (KES) and are inclusive of 16% VAT unless stated otherwise.
Prices exclude delivery, which is calculated and shown at checkout.
Prices are subject to change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the price displayed when you place it.
Where a price is displayed in obvious error — a mispriced carton or a misplaced decimal — we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than supply at that price. We will tell you before we do so.
A tax invoice is issued for every order and is available on request.

6. Trade and bulk orders
Trade pricing is tiered by quantity and quoted per piece and per carton. Minimum order quantities apply on trade lines — commonly one full carton per line. Pallet and container pricing is quoted separately on request.
Trade pricing and quotations are confidential to the customer they are issued to, are valid for the period stated on the quotation, and are subject to stock availability at the time of order. Credit terms, where granted, are agreed separately in writing and do not arise from these terms.

7. Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm dispatch of your order. Before that point we may decline or cancel an order — for example where stock has run out, where a pricing or description error has occurred, where we cannot deliver to the address given, or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we refund you in full.
We may also limit or refuse quantities on any product, and may restrict sales to resellers where a manufacturer's distribution agreement requires it.

8. Payment
Payment is made using the methods shown at checkout. Orders are picked and dispatched only once payment has been confirmed. We do not store your full card details; card payments are handled by Shopify's payment providers under their own security standards.

9. Delivery, returns and refunds
Delivery is governed by our Shipping policy. Returns, replacements and refunds are governed by our Return and refund policy. Both form part of these terms.

10. Safety and handling
Many of the products we supply are chemical products. Some are flammable, some are irritants, and aerosol PU foams are pressurised. You are responsible for handling, storing, transporting and disposing of them in line with the manufacturer's safety data sheet and applicable Kenyan law, and for providing appropriate protective equipment to anyone who uses them. Keep all products out of the reach of children.

11. Intellectual property
The layout, text, photography and design of this website, and the AHIHQ Traders and JIWA names and logos, belong to us or are used with permission. You may not reproduce or use them commercially without our written consent.
Third-party brand names, logos and product images shown on this site remain the property of their respective owners. They are used to identify the goods we distribute and do not imply any endorsement beyond our supply relationship.

12. Third-party links
This website may link to third-party sites, including manufacturers' technical resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.

13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for the goods concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of contracts, site downtime, labour costs, rectification costs or damage to other property, however caused.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012.

14. Events outside our control
We are not in breach of these terms, and not liable for delay or failure to perform, where the cause is beyond our reasonable control — including transport disruption, supplier or manufacturer failure, import delays, strikes, weather, civil unrest, utility or network failure, or action by any government authority.

15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If a dispute arises, please contact us first — most matters are settled quickly by a phone call. If we cannot resolve it between us, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

17. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our policies and any written quotation or credit agreement, form the whole agreement between us.
