Solar flood light prices in Kenya (2026)

In our range, solar flood lights cost from KSh 3,300 for a small 50W unit to KSh 37,600 for the largest high-output fitting, per piece. The price follows the battery, the panel, the housing and any extras such as a camera, much more than the wattage printed in the name. The table below lists every solar flood light we stock with its battery and current piece price. Prices checked on 13 October 2026.

Solar flood light prices: models with a published battery

Stored energy is battery voltage multiplied by amp-hours, in watt-hours (Wh). It is the fairest single number for comparing how much light a fitting can give per night. Figures are rounded.

What drives the price

  • Battery size. The largest single cost. A 307 Wh battery costs far more than a 19 Wh one, whatever the wattage label says.
  • Battery chemistry. LiFePO4 is built for a charge and discharge every day. If a cheap light just says "lithium", ask which chemistry it uses.
  • Panel size. A 65W panel costs more than an 8W panel, and it is what refills a big battery.
  • Housing. Die-cast aluminium rated IP67 costs more than an ABS plastic shell, and it handles heat, dust and rain better.
  • Extras. Wi-Fi cameras, motion sensors and remotes add cost. Camera flood lights should be compared with other camera units, not with plain lights.
  • Warranty. In our range, the stated manufacturer warranties run from 1 year on the 0427 series, through 2 years on the camera models, to 3 years on the 0837 aluminium, YW-200 and 0293 high-output families.

How to compare value: price per watt-hour

Divide the price by the stored energy. This gives the cost of each watt-hour of battery, a fair way to compare plain flood lights of different sizes:

  • 300W IP67, 96Ah: KSh 34,000 / 307 Wh = about KSh 111 per Wh.
  • 200W IP67, 30-36 hours: KSh 28,000 / 230 Wh = about KSh 122 per Wh.
  • 200W YW-200: KSh 14,000 / 115 Wh = about KSh 122 per Wh.
  • 300W, 18,000mAh: KSh 9,200 / 58 Wh = about KSh 160 per Wh.
  • 1000W, 52Ah: KSh 29,000 / 166 Wh = about KSh 174 per Wh.
  • 100W, 6,000mAh: KSh 5,200 / 19 Wh = about KSh 271 per Wh.

Small lights cost more per watt-hour, but they are still the right buy for a single doorway. The point is to compare like with like, and to stop paying for a wattage figure that the battery cannot deliver. Then weigh the other factors: panel size, IP rating, housing and warranty.

A cheaper light with a small battery may be all a gate needs, especially with a motion sensor. For a perimeter or a yard that must stay lit through cloudy weeks, the lights with 200 Wh and above are the safer choice.
