About this product
The Mars is MODI's basin mixer, model MD-HWSA61001, a single-lever tap that brings hot and cold to one spout and one control. It is aimed at bathroom fit-outs where a plain pillar tap looks dated and a full designer range is not in the budget.
The body is cast in zinc alloy, a material chosen for bathroom fittings because it takes a hard plated finish and holds its shape around the threads and the spout joint. Overall dimensions are 133 x 42 x 161mm, compact enough for a small cloakroom basin without the spout crowding the bowl. The tap is designed for a standard single-hole basin, with the lever giving temperature and flow from one movement.
It suits residential bathrooms and cloakrooms, guest houses, hostels and small hotels, and refurbishment work where the basin stays and only the tap is replaced. It is packed 10 pieces to a carton, which suits plumbers and hardware shops buying for a project rather than a single unit.
