8W Solar Emergency Light 6V 4.5Ah Twin Lamp

Built as a multifunctional emergency light, this 8W solar unit is the one to keep for power cuts, night work and travel. Two light sources are fitted: a panel of 44 5730 LEDs across 3000K to 6500K for area lighting, and a single 1W Bridgelux lamp that works as a torch or spotlight.

Charging comes from a 9V 7W polycrystalline panel into a 6V 4.5Ah lead-acid battery, which the manufacturer rates at 6 to 8 hours of charging for 12 to 15 hours of discharge. That gives a full evening of light and a reserve for the following night if charging is poor, and lead-acid keeps the unit cheap to replace when the pack eventually tires.
