No. 2 closed eye hooks, sold wholesale by the carton of 200 packets in Kenya by AHIHQ Traders, Nairobi. An eye hook is a screw with a closed ring at the head, used to anchor wire, cord or chain so that it cannot slip off.

Eye hook or screw hook?

Choose a closed eye hook when the line must stay put: curtain wire, washing lines, guy cords, light fittings and anything tied or clipped on. Because the ring is closed, a wire or chain passed through it cannot lift out. When items need to come off the hook easily, an open screw hook is the better fit.

Screw eye hooks straight into timber, starting a small pilot hole first in hardwood. In brick, block or concrete, fit a wall plug first and screw the hook into the plug.
