Pattex PL 100 Water Based Construction Adhesive

PL 100 is the water-based member of Henkel's three PL construction adhesives — a solvent-free polymer dispersion, Henkel article 1797916, with the highest initial grab of the three at 180 kg/m². It is an interior adhesive and it needs at least one absorbent face in order to cure: plaster, concrete, cellular concrete, pumice, fibre concrete, plasterboard and gypsum board, wood materials and chipboard, and rigid polyurethane foam.

This is the cartridge for skirting, architrave, decorative mouldings, ceiling roses, wall panels and insulation board — the jobs where you want the piece to stay put the moment you press it on, indoors, with no solvent and no smell. It is over-paintable and bridges gaps up to 10 mm, which covers a wall that is not quite flat. Interior fit-out contractors, dry-liners and gypsum installers buy it by the carton.

Sold by the full carton of 12. Two limits worth knowing: PL 100 is for interior use and is not suitable for permanent water contact, and it will not cure if both faces are non-absorbent — on metal to glass or tile to tile, use PL 150 or PL 200 instead. Henkel asks that heavy items be supported for at least 24 hours.
