About this product

PL 150 is the solvent-based member of the PL family, Henkel article 1797913, and it is the general-purpose one. Because it dries by solvent evaporation rather than needing an absorbent face, it works on absorbent and non-absorbent materials alike: brick, ceramics, concrete, hardboard, drywall, plywood, stone, MDF, wood, metal and rigid PVC. Henkel publishes it for both interior and exterior use, with permanent bonds it describes as UV-resistant, weather-resistant and vibration-resistant.

Henkel gives its application range as −10 °C to +35 °C, which in Kenya matters less for cold than for what it tells you about the cure: this is the PL grade that still grabs where a water-based dispersion struggles. Battens and trim onto blockwork, metal profiles onto masonry, fascia and cladding boards, signage, and mounting work you would otherwise drill and plug. Initial tack is 100–120 kg/m² with immediate bonding, so on most jobs it holds without mechanical fixings.

Sold by the full carton of 12. Henkel states it is water-resistant but not for constant moisture exposure, and that it must not be used on polyethylene, PTFE or acrylic glass. Where both faces are non-absorbent, Henkel's method is double adhesion — spread on both sides, let it flash off, then bring the two together. It is solvent-based, so ventilate and keep it away from flame.
