MODI Bakelite Doorbell Switch MD-KJM009 Push Button

This is the doorbell push from MODI's Bakelite wiring accessory range, a single push-button plate wired to an existing door chime. Hardware shops and electricians stock it as the matching push for bakelite-style switch ranges already installed in Kenyan homes, flats and rental units.

The series is built around selected copper internal parts, formed in one piece for good flexibility and conductivity and to resist the wear that comes from repeated operation. The panel itself is moulded from PC material chosen for self-extinguishing, flame-retardant behaviour, which is the reason the range is specified where fire safety matters. Wiring terminals sit inside the plate, so connections are made behind the face and the plate closes onto a tidy termination.

Fit it at a front door, gate, back door or office reception, wired to a chime unit elsewhere in the building. It follows the same plate format as the rest of the bakelite range, so a doorbell push, light switches and sockets can be matched across a single installation.
