MODI M1 Hotel Card Switch M1-040 3x3 Key Card Plate

Key card switches control the power in a guest room from the card slot beside the door: insert the card and the room energises, remove it on the way out and the circuits it feeds drop away. The MODI M1-040 is that switch in the M1 range, on a 3x3 plate and built on the V1-040 series.

The plate is moulded in one piece from high-quality PC that is self-extinguishing and flame retardant, which suits an accessory handled several times a day by guests rather than by an electrician. Contacts are selected copper, chosen for conductivity and for standing up to electrical corrosion and repeated insertion. Internal wiring keeps the termination compact behind the plate, useful in a room where the switch box sits close to the door frame.

Hotels, lodges, serviced apartments, hostels and student accommodation are the natural applications, usually paired with a contactor or relay when the switched load is large. Supplied in white, gold and grey to match the surrounding M1 switch plates, packed 60 pieces per carton.
