About this product
Rated at 45A, the MODI M2-029 is the appliance isolating switch in the M2 accessory range. It is the switch used where a cooker, water heater or shower is wired as a fixed load and needs to be turned off at the wall, and it carries the same champagne gold styling as the rest of the M2 plates.
Two finishes are offered, gold and grey. The panel is moulded from high-quality PC, self-extinguishing and flame retardant, and the contacts inside are one-piece moulded copper selected for corrosion resistance and consistent conductivity. Wiring is completed from inside the plate, which is quicker on site and leaves the conductors properly contained within the back box.
Common positions are beside an electric cooker in a kitchen, next to an instant shower or storage heater in a bathroom, and in commercial kitchens, hair salons and laundries. Contractors buy it by the carton at 100 pieces for larger residential jobs.
