About this product
Double back boxes need a double blank, and that is what the MODI M2-031 provides on a 3 x 6 face. It covers the wider opening left by a twin socket or a multi-gang switch that has been removed, or a box run in for a position that was never used.
The plate is offered in white, gold and grey, the same finishes as the switches and sockets in the M2 range, so a blanked position sits quietly in a row of accessories. It is moulded from high-quality PC, a self-extinguishing and flame-retardant material, and screws to the standard fixing centres of a double box.
It sees most use during refurbishment, where circuits are rearranged and old outlets are made safe, and on new-build sites where boxes are installed early. Shops and offices fitting out partitioned spaces keep a few on hand for the same reason. Cartons hold 50 pieces.
