MODI M2 Double 13A Switched Wall Socket Gold and Grey

Two switched 13A outlets on one flush plate, the M2-016 doubles the capacity of a single back box position. Each outlet has its own switch, so a television and a decoder, or a fridge and a microwave, can be controlled independently from the same plate.

The internal current-carrying parts are selected copper for conductivity and resistance to electrical corrosion, and the series is specified to withstand repeated plugging and unplugging without losing grip. A one-piece moulded body gives the plate its rigidity, while the PC panel material is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant. Wiring is internal, which is worth having on a double socket where two sets of terminations have to fit in the same box.

Typical positions are behind televisions, at kitchen counters, beside workstations and in shop counters where extension leads would otherwise multiply. This model is supplied in gold and grey, the gold being the warm champagne tone used across the M2 range.
